ABOUT

Chard Concert Brass is an independent community band that continues a nearly 200-year-old brass banding tradition in Chard, with our players all coming from Chard and the surrounding area. We play a wide range of musical styles, from the traditional brass band repertoire to pop, opera and funk. Although the Band has had a successful contesting history, it does not contest at present, focusing on concerts, entertainment and community events.

We welcome all enquiries for engagements in our contact section. We are also always looking for new players to join our ranks and we welcome any enquiries from prospective brass or percussion players (no matter the age or ability!)

The band room is located in Crowshute House and rehearsals for the senior band take place on Thursdays between 8 pm and 10 pm. We are also proud to hold rehearsals every Monday between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm for the training band which teaches beginner players, young and old, to play to the standard of the senior band.
